Matt Cooper's review (August 2005):
The Bobbin pub, situated at Cable Street, Lancaster
(opposite Sainsburys near the bus station), is a pub that in recent
years has undergone various stages of development. If hand-pulled
cask beers are your bag then this could be the pub for you. It features
a well stocked bar including fruit wines and beers, an array of ciders;
Stowford Press and Old Rosie augmented by in recent weeks the addition
of Perry. A good selection of spirits is also available.
Satori's update (June 2012):
It is a regular haunt of local garage and indie bands, some quite tolerable and some even entertaining. The Bobbin also holds an annual weekend music festival. Roomy beer-garden out the back for the smokers. You won't starve there either.
