Lancaster Family History Group
Strong local organisation founded in 1990. Aims to promote family history research, compile indexes of local monumental inscriptions in gratitude for all the other splendid indexes that we use and to develop resources, so members can benefit by using them at the regular Group meetings.

Lancashire GenWeb
Includes links to GenConnect, an automated query management and document archiving system. There are boards for posting Queries, Bible Records, Biographies, Deeds, Obituaries, Pensions, and Wills. The boards are designed to allow researchers to freely share information with others and post questions about their own "dead end" or "brick wall" ancestors.

The Lancashire Family History and Heraldry Society can help you research your Lancashire ancestors.
The main aims of the Society are:

To advance the study of genealogy, heraldry, and family history.
To find, publish, and make accessible relevant documents and records.
To promote the preservation of these documents and records, especially by transcribing original sources.
To collaborate with organisations and bodies who have custody of records.
To operate an information service and build up a library.
Formed in 1973 as the Rossendale Society for Genealogy and Heraldry (Lancashire), the Society now has twelve centres in Lancashire, together with one in London where members meet regularly. There is also an Irish Ancestry section . The society also has a worldwide community of family historians with roots in Lancashire.

Lancashire Family Trees
Pursuing information on the family names Ainsworth, Beddows, Bell, Blackburn, Bracegirdle, Brown, Davies, Halewood, Hines, Jones, Kerfoot, Mutch, Neale, Oxton, Stanton, Walker, Williams, Wolstenholme, Wright and Wrigley? These folks have set up a family tree home page in an effort to find our family members.
It is not a general surname tracing site. They are hoping that as distant relatives view these pages they will recognise their family ancestors and contact them to have their names put into their family trees and to add further names and information to their own. The site is arranged so that family names connect to others with active links, however not every link has been entered.
