Flax Books
Wants fresh poetry from Lancashire and Cumbrian writers.
Litfest is launching a digital and print publishing programme to showcase talented yet underexposed writers from the region. Our aim is to highlight the contemporary voices of this diverse region of England. We are looking for writers who are as thought-provoking, stimulating and challenging as the culture of the area. 
The first prose e-anthology was launched at the November 2006 Litfest. The plan is to produce one every quarter. quarterly. The print programme will focus in depth  on fewer writers.

The Spotlight Club
A live-writing venue in Lancaster, (UK) dedicated to bringing new and different writing, performers, readers and musicians to the stage.
Spotlight has hosted a melange of the best in North West original live-writing, comedy and music on the 3rd Friday of each month since December 1995. Spotlight happens upstairs at the Yorkshire House, Lancaster from 8.30pm.
Spotlight continues its aim to give a platform to established, new and aspiring writers. The event is a forum for North West writers and musicians to perform and experiment with new work. Events comprise open mic session, poets, writers, comedy and music.
