Lancaster Comedy Club
at the Borough, every Sunday at 8pm
The city's long running Lancaster Comedy Club, popular with locals, tourists and students not least because of a booking policy ensuring that acts better suited to holiday camps or cruise ships have been given a wide berth. In the last three years stars from Michael McIntyre's Comedy Roadshow, Mock the Week, Father Ted, Never Mind The Buzzcocks and Phoenix Nights have all made appearances.

Seaside Soul Club, MorecambeThe Seaside Soul Club
The Seaside Soul Club is run by a group of avid soul music devotees who organise monthly Soul Music Nights at Upstairs Downstairs, 100 Marine Road West, Morecambe (£3), where local DJ's and guests DJ's play their full scope of soul music to an appreciative soul lovin’ crowd.

The Spotlight Club
Highly recommended live-writing event with local authors and performers. Held on the 3rd Friday of every month at The Yorkshire House, Parliament Street, Lancaster. 8.30pm start. Events comprise open mic session, poets, writers, comedy and music.
